Here I go again...

When I originally started blogging, a friend and I were inspired from Bridget Jones' Diary...yes, that's a true story. I still love the books and the movie, I am not ashamed...it's British, therefore, hilarious!

Yet, I have been very inconsistent in my posts yet, I always want my friend's to update their blogs, so that I can check it out. Hypocrite...procrastinator...it's true, I have been that person. I wish I could say, that's me no more but I really find writing tedious...yet I like writing stories...just not if it's expected of me...ahh the paradox that is my life:) I think it stems from all those years of essay writing.

Well, here is the update on me...since my last birthday...I went to Utah in April...Utah in July...drove my car both times. The first group was Jacky, Aussie Dave, Luke, Daria & me...ya it was a full car but it worked out that way...too many promises not enough space. I'm an optimist...i figured it's only one way, no worries. Haha...I know the people coming down didn't feel the same way but here are some things that I learned on the trip: I love Weezer and Radiohead. Radiohead is especially good in a snowstorm. My car is awesome. I have some pretty good laidback friends. I can eat five Taco Bell Hard Tacos no problem. I love Cafe Rio Steak tacos. I love my Utah family - Holley's sooo awesome. I love General Conference and being in the conference centre. I love the Lether's. I need to watch my speed in Idaho - got a ticket on the way back home. Luke can sleep through anything and for a loooooong time. I love my car. I love driving across the Alex Fraser Bridge knowing that I am ten min. from home.

The 2nd group were my UK roomies - Andy & Mark with our friend's Cami & Sophie. Andy & Mark were headed to Utah for a month and then headed back home to the UK after spending six months in Vancouverrr. I offered to drive them down and again, filled the car for the drive down because I wanted at least 3 of us coming back. The boys were not impressed but it was only on the way down...what's the harm...oops. The Boys are well over 6 feet and my car is roomy but not that roomy. Mark had a sore back...Andy hated being in the passenger seat when I drove. Eventually it ended up that all us girls were in the back and the boys were in the front...way more leg room. Oh ya....we were across the border at 1am...it was stinkin' hot because we were driving through Idaho in the afternoon...soooo hot! Things I learned: I hate saying goodbye, over and over again. I love Becca & Jace's kids! I love my car. I really like Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Always make sure I have my car keys in my hand - I locked them in the car while I was distracted outside of a house. Coathangers - dont work to unlock my car. Tow truck - I now know how to break into my car - 60$ US lesson. I love Keane!! I love Cafe Rio Steak Burritos. I can be fed and drive 85 miles/hour on the freeway. I love my Blackberry Maps! I love Utah. Chocolate will always melt even during a night drive in the summer. Throwing a pillow at a kids head while they are running will always result in them hitting the ground laughing hysterically. I need to watch my speed in Oregon = 262$ US lesson. I love driving smooth windy roads. I love arriving home and falling asleep in my own bed! The house felt very empty and I miss the boys....

Okay....so I have learned more things in 2009. Deadweights can be forgotten about easily with time. I am truly loved by my friends and family. I love Jeremy! That's my cousin's little boy who I would babysit when my cousin, Jesse, had an appt or something when I was back home visiting. I love my niece, Makayla, she is absolutely precious to me. I love road trips, no matter where we are going. I hate driving on a two lane highway behind and between trailers and semi's. I think I am addicted to Facebook chat. I love reading my friend's blogs. I love Rock Band and singing Muse, Weezer, Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse & Journey. Yes, I now appreciate Journey. I love bbq'd steaks...there is absolutely no substitute. I love the Young Women...yes, it has happened. I still love my car. I love The Dog Whisperer. I love 30 Rock. I love How I Met Your Mother. I really miss ER. I still love the V. I love learning new things. I love Orange Fanta. I find researching hotels and vacations very draining. I love the feeling of booking a new trip. I love exploring new places and knowing that I know how to get around a foreign city with ease. I love the ocean. I love sandy beaches. I love sitting on the beach doing absolutely nothing but gazing out at the ocean and listening to the waves crash on shore. I love Virgin Ticket to Fly's. I love my sister, niece & nephew. I love knowing that I can move forward with my life. I love my car. I really want to go to Costa Rica...I consider myself a bit of an expert after all that research:) My curly, frizzy hair can be tamed. I love my chi straightener. I love my tankini. I love my camera. Heavenly Father loves me. Church is true, sky is blue. I am excited for the Vancouver Temple. I love Festival of Nativities and being on the Stake Activities Committee. I hate staying home because of sickness. H1N1...bites. I don't like writing stories that have a deadline. I love my friends. I love the encouragement of my friends. I love Rob Lowe - started watching Brothers and Sister specifically so I can see him. Okay, it's a crush but it has lasted a while hey. I need more of a challenge at work. I like my co-workers. I need to buy new clothes and more skirts! I love Michael Jackson and will miss him, he was and is a great entertainer.

Okay, so that's about it for now. I know it's a lot of love but I just had to let it out! haha.

Thanks for your patience and not giving up on me yet!
