Do you like mushrooms?....

"Do you like Mushrooms?"
I heard the male voice behind me ask but I continued to stare at the yoghurt selection and contemplate what exactly this guy is asking. We are in the dairy/frozen food aisle in Save-On-Foods and here are my thoughts:
"Did I seriously just get asked that?"
"Is he talking drugs...?
"He is still looking at me, waiting for my answer..."

So I turned around, saw that he had a basket of food on the floor, and then I gave a little startled jump because he was a lot closer than I thought. He was older, scruffy and had rotting yellow teeth but he was smiling at me and said, "There is a mushroom pizza for $3.99." He was absolutely giddy.

I gave a smile and a little laugh and turned back to my yoghurt decision and then he stood beside me and started looking at the yoghurt too, so I walked further down and then he walked across the aisle and started looking at the frozen food again.

So...do I like mushrooms? Yes! Do I like being approached by random older scruffy guys? No, and not in New West, where the term "mushroom" can have so many meanings. I seriously thought this was first ever approach for a drug buy. haha.
